Default Front wheel support for trainer?

I have a KK trainer that I'm using fairly regularly now and, since I feel more comfortable with the bike level, I have the KK front wheel support as well. However, I find the KK support pretty unstable. It's fine if I just do a mellow spin ride, but if I stand especially, or if do high intensity intervals there's a decent chance it will get out of whack, at which point there's no way to fix it without getting off the bike. What do others use? Is there something better?

I picked up a Cycleops front wheel support last winter and I stopped sprinting off the phone book or wood block I'd been using. It works fine, but is kinda big for storage and transport and I don't buy into the whole rise concept for climbing and don't need three height settings. I picked up a Computrainer early this fall and the front wheel block is a tiny thing that seems real solid so far, haven't had the wheel fall off during an out of saddle effort yet. I'd look for one of those on the Racermate web site.

Here is my high tech, cutting-edge, latest and greatest, trainer wheel stand:

Before you scoff, realize this little $1.99 setup has provided steady support during repeated jumps over 1400 W for over a year.

I went with something a little nicer than Lucy, I found some tiles in the corner of the garage that have served well for over a year-and no slivers.

I use tiles as well - left over tiles from when I redid the floor of our kitchen.

Hmm. We just retiled a bathroom so I might just give that a try. (BTW Lucy, 1400w on the trainer? crazy)
