I'm looking to do a tour (organized or self-guided) during the Tour de France. Most likely during the week of the Alpes stages and then head back to Paris. Has anyone done something such as this during this time?
Thanks |

I did a self-supported tour in 2003 with 4 other guys. We rented an RV and camped the whole time. It was great fun, but driving an RV through tiny roads of France was stressful. We did the Alpes and Pyrenees. The best times were when we would park the RV in one place and spend a few days there. If I were to do it again, I would hire a touring company to handle the details for me. Or I would go to the other extreme: just me, the bike, and a credit card. -- terry morse Undiscovered Country Tours - California Bike Tours http://www.udctours.com |
