Default Two bikes... Entry Level

I posted this in the bike buying advice thread, and it is receicing the views, but not replies.... So I thought maybe people may actually decide to reply here...

I have been looking for a road bike and have come down to two... I'll use them for a small amount of road racing and maybe some triathlons. Went to two bike shops and was recommended the Silverback Clevelandand the Raleigh RC2000.

Which one would you recommend over the other? Why? Are there limits on the upgrades you can perform on the bikes?

Thanks in advance.
