Hey everyone i'm new to this forum and i'm in the very early stages of looking for a road bike, i've only ever had a mountain bike i own a specialized rockhopper, but latly i've been wanting to ride the roads i want to spend around 1500 dollars, i want something that is comfortable, nice riding and whatever else i should want lol, i plan on doing some 150 mile plus rides on it. So any help would be great thanks. Paul

How do you think this Scattante R-560 Road Bike
http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?deal_id=61774 I got it for only a week for Christmas, and like it very much, the formula Element wheelset is very suitable for training or touring. And the TruVativ cranks provide stiff, efficient power. I think you can try it. |

in that price range you should be able to get a 105 group or Ultegra and a nice comfy frame. Check out Giant OCR-1, OCR-A1, Cannondale Synapse. Check out Bikereview.com for user comments. |

Don't ignore Felt, Trek, LeMond, Specialized, Bianchi. Have I left anybody out? $1500 buys a lot of bike these days. Have fun being a pain in the ass and asking for test rides at your local stores. Go with the one that gives you the best fit, the best deal, and the best sense of humor. |
