Hi there,
I'm organising a charity bicycle rally from London to Kenya in September 2008 which is open to anyone that wants to join. The ride is something like 6,000 miles long and will take at least 4 months to complete. We're raising money for a Kenyan school-building charity, and many of us will be completing small projects in Kenya once we arrive. The rally is totally unsupported, meaning you find your own team, choose your own route, and arrange your own backup. Apart from the requirement to raise money for the charity, the ride is very much up to you, and certainly there to be enjoyed! Here's the link: http://www.downrightkenya.org and we'd seriously appreciate feedback, thoughts and (most importantly) riders! With thanks, and best wishes for 2008, PK |

Hi PK, I'm going to be cycling around the UK from April. If I make it around before September I'd be keen to go cycling to Kenya.
Building in developing countries is something I want to get involved with in the future. |

Cheers Lomuland - really good to hear from you! Your round Britain trip looks ace and I wish I could get enough time off work to join in (though perhaps could do a bit of it?!). Email en route with reference to the Kenya trip. All the best, PK
