Is anyone out there a regular at Brian Piccolo Park Velodrome in Ft. Lauderdale area?
I will be in the area this weekend and was wondering about the facility. Should I drag my road bike down there or rent a bike from the drome. I have never ridden on a drome, but am excited about trying it. I used to work a block away from the Major Taylor Velodrome in Indy, so I have seen track racing before. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. |

Thanks Billsworld. Unfortunately it rained most of my time in Ft. Lauderdale. The lady behind the desk at the Velodrome (after I tore her away from the book she was reading) informed me about all of the things that you mentioned. She also said that I would have to wait until a track "coach" was there as well. I did catch a break in the weather and was able to ride the Crit course out back for about an hour on Saturday between showers. Hopefully the next time I am in-town, I will get a chance to ride.
Thanks for your help. |
