Wow! He has no contracts, has missed the UCI deadline for a 2008 slot, has picked dates that will clash with the Vuelta and the Tour of Missouri, and still hopes to make it a success?

But he's ambitious, Bro...how many times did he say how ambitious he is?

All of his answers sounded like they were made up as a spoof...

I also liked the part where he said it was a shame you couldn't see Lance race in the US because there wasn't a credible race here...um, dude, he only raced in ONE event.

He really needs to get a clue.... not only does it clash with several other races, who is going to want to do it?
So France is about the size of Texas and there are already complaints about the transfers in the TDF and this yutz plans a race that crosses the entire US, but also comply with the UCI rules about length of races and stages. The transfers will be unreal....
And his interview..... he comes off as someone with money who is used to getting his way.... I don't think he understands that he won't be able to buy this successful

I like this bit...

What is your background? Are you a cyclist yourself, have you raced? Have you been to Europe to watch cycling?

The answer to all those questions is no, no, no and no.

So his background is "no". He said it, not me.

Yes, "no" to background is classic. As is this bit:

"Your proposed dates also clash with the new Tour of Missouri, which was very successful last year. In terms of goodwill and PR, it's not a great move is it?

Not at all. I don't think it's a good move but in the big picture we don't have a choice."
