Hi guys I'm a new member of the forums. I was wondering if anyone has heard of the crocodile trophy race in north Queensland Australia. I'm mad keen to do it! any advice? I work in a store selling trek and Gary Fisher which bike would you recommend? It is 1400km of outback roads should i go alloy or carbon hard tail?

A bloke I know did it last year and his description was hard. Hard riding, hard conditions and hard camping. He also said it is one of those things that gets better with memories after the event as time goes by.
This rider was extremely fit for the event having trained for and ridden the Grafton to Inverell race as well as thousands of road k's and epic mountain bike races before the crocodile trophy. If you enjoy pain, exaustion and harsh conditions then go for it. Cheers. |
