Default Jamis Allegro and Cannondale BBU

Hello , I am looking for a bike with suspension for commuting and I came to these two.

Jamis Allegro 3x

http://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/bikes...8allegro3x.html

Cannondale Bad Boy Ultra

http://es.cannondale.com/bikes/08/ce/model-8BS.html

For me , they are similar, upright position, similar componets, hidarulic brakes, suspension etc. the jamis is a little more offroad though and the cannondole look cooler. But I think they can have a similar use in a city commuting situation

the thing is, the jamis cost 950 bucks and the Cannondale 1500. So is really worth it to pay that big difference for the cannondale? I mean , is the rear shock that much nicer than the regular in the jamis? Is the cannondale frame that much better thatn the Jamis´s? etc. Does cannondale ask for a lot of money just for the Brand?

If anyone can have somo opinions, I will much appreciate it

Best regards
