Default One reason to support Obama

As president, Barack Obama will build upon his efforts in the Senate to ensure that more Metropolitan Planning Organizations create policies to incentivize greater bicycle and pedestrian usage of roads and sidewalks. He will also re-commit federal resources to public mass transportation projects across the country.

What's bad about Hillary? Like what bad will she do?

I had a bad gut feeling the first time I layed eyes on her many years ago.
I rely on my intuition everyday and I will leave it at that.

Just on that point alone, I would support him(if I were American). When the
federal election finally happens, you only get two choices anyway(I think we get
three) and Obama would be the way to go. It is not going to be 50/50 this time.

Did Obama actually say something? Aren't his speeches full of platitudes absent of even the normal gamut of vacuous promises politicians roll out in election years?

I am not an American, but if I was, Obama would be the last person I vote for.

I agree! I thought I was the only one who thinks he sounds like he's giving a Student Council speech...but Hillary is actually the last person I would vote for...

Any politician who as got as far as being a candidate for party nominee for President... would never make any promises 10 months before an election. Only if he or she had to... and it was near enough to the election.

Issues change too much to get specific now. Especially for the frontrunners. He's no idiot.

I don't favor either party - they're all bought and paid for. Having said that, for me, any Democratic candidate for president is better than any Republican. But I, too, dislike Hillary because I feel she's a pure political animal. And I used to say that I wouldn't vote for her no matter what. But a friend made a comment to me that changed my mind. He said, "We've had to suffer for eight years now under the Republicans. And in return there would be no better way to torture the right-wingers than to have the Clintons back in the White House." Yup. If she's running she's got my vote!

Well, then, Hillary is...she's made claims about oil going down 30 dollars a barrel if she were elected, and says she'll bring the troops home right away...when it's a year from now.

I won't try to debate the issues - but I've got to say, i thought before this process started, that Hilary would have been nominated and her only real rival would have been Edwards.

Whatever else one may say, Obama has been the revelation in terms of performance and vote getting thus far.

Fair comment.

Although I reckon the US has become even more polarised over the past 8 years.
I think the US needs consensus - and it needs a President who will bring the country together.
Just my tuppence worth.

Yes, but do you think Hillary can bring people together? There is probably nobody who is more polarising than Hillary. In fact, if she becomes the Democratic candidate, it might encourage a number of people to actually come and vote . . . against her, that is.

Well that just proves she's either a dope or a liar. How exactly is the President of the United States going to bring down the world price of oil by $30 a barrel??
