Default country fans

I just discovered this new female country artist named Ashton Shepherd! If you are a fan of artists like Gretchen Wilson and Sugarland than you will love Ashton too! she has a big voice and her songs have a cutting edge sound that will get you singing her songs all day long! check her out on CMT.com, she's got a new album coming out too!

I like many kinds of music, including some country, but I guess I am not paying attention, since I have never heard of the two that you compare her to...

I am into traditional country, would they fit that mold, or the newer pop/country hybrid stuff?

I just listened to one of my Junior Brown CDs earlier today... too much country for most people that listen to country.

Or too much rock-n-roll, bluegrass, or alternative. Junior is a guitar god that transcends musical genres. People can't shoehorn him into any particular style of music, so the masses will never be able to fully appreciate his genius as a musician. I've been lucky enough to see him live on a few occasions over the past 10 years, and he never disappoints.

If a country songwriter were also a cyclist the lyrics might go like this:

(Imagine steel guitar and deep country twangy voice)

I took out my trusteeee steeed, as I was ridin' my tire went flat - pumped er up went a few miles, then the dern derailer just blew up! walked er back om, some good ol boys in pick em up truck splashed me twice! By the time I got back, I loaded my steeed in my truck, went in to git a drink, when I come back out, my steeed was a goner. Oh what's a country cyclist to do? My bike got stolen out of the blue.........:-)

I would love to see him live... My guess is that he does an entertaining concert.

I do agree that he has a wide range, but I think most people that listen to his music like country as at least one of the genre's they listen to.

the CD I listened to yesterday was Semi-Crazy, and the Surf Medley would seem like a fun one to listen to for those with more of a mainstream pop preference.

My musical tastes are varied, and I do agree that Junior Brown's CDs do need a category of their own... or a slot in many different categories.

The Cafe' is for off topic items, but this post sounds too much like spam. The OP has only posted one time and it is a post extolling the virtues of a singer with a website address to check her out? I'm sure that there are hundreds of country music forums out there where this post would be more welcome.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I hadn't looked at the profile of the OP. I usually do look when the post is short and provides a link. Heck, I didn't even pay any attention to the link this time.

I guess it just goes to show that some sucker will fall for any spam.

However, Junior Brown still plays excellent music to play while working on your bikes, or doing many other things.
