Hi there,
I just had my bike serviced. (It's a Trek 7500) I want to mount my bike on a trainer, but I can't get the QuickRelease open! It's like it's cemented shut. The handle won't budge. What can I do to try to loosen it? Thanks for your help. sj |

A drop or two of oil at the QR pivot and then pull harder. The bicycle shop service person should be able to guide you as he/she probably tightened it for your safety.

Closed end of a hex head wrench around it, use a lever. Oil like Dave said, grease on the threads. Needs to be tight but not so tight ya can't loosen it. Also, don't align the handle with the fork leg or seat/chainstays. hard to grab there. |
