Anyone have some ideas on what might be causing pain in my left knee
when I put a little pressure on? Here are some facts that might be relevant: The pain is on the outside of the knee, towards the back of the knee. The problem only really arises when I put on a bit of pressure, such as when I'm running late for work, even if I have warmed up with a long ride earlier in the morning. My right leg that is probably 1 to 2 cm longer than my left, if that is of any interest. I have had this problem for quite a while, it predates me using cleats by many years. Peter |

Among 'bent riders, that's seen as a sign that the seat to pedal distance is wrong. It's more important in bents than in uprights because you can't compensate the way you can on an upright. You might want to consider building up the short leg's cleat to compensate for the leg length. Zebee |

That's what my physio says - and my symptoms are similar to Peter's. I'd recommend seeking professional advice, but inthe meantime, ITB stretches might help.
