Everyone in Perth, I just received this from a coworker. This isn't a
chain email that has been handed down through dozens of recipients - I'm about second in the chain from the original author. If anyone has any info, please email me (email contents below): Can you send this out to all the Rio cyclists or anyone that rides? My bike was stolen from Argyle House on Friday 28th at 11AM. The thief road into the basement on a Kmart bike, cut the chain and road off on mine. By the sounds of things this person or a gang are targeting building basements bike parking. The building next to us had a bike stolen last week in the same manor and on the way home, I was pacing with another rider and I mentioned bike security and my recent misfortune. Shock horror, this guy had a Specialized Carbon frame bike stolen three weeks ago and by the sound of things, the same individual. The person also road up on a donor bike & used a battery operated grinder to cut through a fence on a secure bike cage and his lock. Looks like this guy is getting it down to a fine art. Obviously, we all need to look at our parking arrangements short of taking them into your office and vigilance on suspicious behaviour. I have attached a flyer of my bike. I hope you don't mind me sending this to you but I think you have a comprehensive cycling mail out list. Thanks in advance... |
