I know quite a few bods on here are fairly up on their stats. Can anyone
suggest a web link that'll help me get my head around the terminology? |

Should have been clearer in my OP. |

Obviously it's a very wide area with many domain applications (and hence subsets of favorite statistical tools) but you could take a look here: http://statschoices.open.ac.uk/ Then lookup some of the reference material for the courses.
