Default Stats

I know quite a few bods on here are fairly up on their stats. Can anyone
suggest a web link that'll help me get my head around the terminology?

The classic is "How to Lie With Statistics" - published 1954, so may be
out of copyright by now and available on the web somewhere.
Here's the first one I found - I can't vouch for its quality:

I meant producing my own rather than picking holes in someone else's. Should
have been clearer in my OP.

Obviously it's a very wide area with many domain applications (and hence
subsets of favorite statistical tools) but you could take a look here:

http://statschoices.open.ac.uk/

Then lookup some of the reference material for the courses.

Cheers,
Graham

Just lie like everyone else, or start here:

"There is no royal road to mathematics". Normally attributed to Euclid.

If you don't mind old fashioned paper the classic book is "Facts from
Figures " by Mooney. Google suggests that copies are available for a
pound or so.
