I tried mounting a pair of the A710 clip-on aerobars onto a Profile
Design Stoker 26 base bar. Unfortunately, it seems as though the extensions are just too short for my forearms - I can get the pads into a good position, but then my hands extend past the ends of the aerobars. These are the single bend alloy bars - 270mm long. They appear to be shorter than any others I've seen on other bikes. I think I need another 3 inches or so! Some of the Oval Concept bars appear to be a bit longer, but I think I need even more. Are there other manufacturers that make 22.2mm bars I could substitute in there? I still like the clips and the arms rests, so I wouldn't mind keeping the rest of the setup if possible. I also like the 30 degree rise. Am I missing something here? I never thought of my forearms as being particularly long (I'm 6'3", fairly normal proportions). Thanks for any suggestions you can provide. |
