I got shimano sh 074s carbon shoes. they came with cleats but they
dont fit my Shimano Ultegra SPD-SL Pedals, what are they to fit?? They are a smaller black and grey cleat with no yellow rubbers. I need to buy some cleats for my pedals. What are the difference between SH11 - Float Sh10 - Fixed Mode cleats. cant find a definet answer but i guess it is something to do with cleat angle on the pedal, what is better? I want the cleat to be a solid clip in, not some loose floating thing. I do triathlons/tt's and not much climbing if that makes a difference cheers |

The red ones SH-10 have no float. So the shoe doesn't wiggle around once clipped in. I like those too. The yellow ones have some float so the shoe can wiggle a bit. Some people like that. > > I do triathlons/tt's and not much climbing if that makes a difference That should not make any difference. Float is a personal preference. Joseph |

I suppose you could say the red ones are tighter. Once clipped in, the shoe is held in a fixed position. With the yellow ones, once the shoe is clipped in, the heel of the shoe can move from side to side a bit, and the shoe can slide side to side too. When you bolt the red ones on your shoes, make sure you get them aligned so that it is comfortable. Take a wrench with you on a test ride and make small changes until it feels just right. Both the red and yellow fit the Ultegra SPD-SL pedals. Joseph |
