I have had Time ATAC pedals on my mountain bike for years and love them.
I recently started using them on the road bike when the toe straps fell to bits but after about an hour my feet get a bit numb. Now if all went well I was considering just buying another pair of ATACs for the road bike to save a bit of dosh. Are there obvious benefits in going for the 'long' road pedal in particlular no numb feet or would I get away with something like the longer Time Z Control pedal which uses the same ATAC cleats ? |

Why do you think it is the pedals that make your feet go numb. My guess would have been the shoes. |

I've been using ATACs on road for years now and don't have a problem with them, using them with either Shimano sandals or Diadora touring shoes (before that Specialized (pre BG) Rockhoppers, before that Nike Ngubas). I remember numbness even on flat pedals. > I've been using ATACs on road for years now and don't have a problem > with them, using them with either Shimano sandals. Shimano sandals also work fine on SPDs. I haven't ridden in anything else for years. |

I use Time Axion when I'm touring. Very similar to ATAC except they are single sided. No problems at all whatever the weather. http://www.time-sport.com/gamme_08/...ales_axion.html |

I had the Ngubas for a few years and changed to a more comfortable Diadora touring style shoe last summer. The numbness is less with the new shoes on road and not really a problem offroad. I think I will give the Z's a go. |
