Could you do us all a favor? Could you start
using the Steve Taylor posting paradigm? It'd make you arguments a lot easier to follow. For example, rather than: "Hey dumbass, it's your theory - the burden is on you to show the rule. According to me, the rule doesn't exist." Better: "CITE THE RULE ASSHAT!!! YOU CAN'T!!! BECAUSE IT DOESN'T EXIST!!!! SHIT OR GET OFF THE POT!!!!" See the difference? Bob Schwartz |

That's your problem. All this other stuff you are doing is diversionary tactics. And it's not working. Magilla |

As I understand it, NRC races use UCI rules for equipment and fines, and the USAC imposes rules for team limits in NRC races and the designation of categories, all non UCI races are supposed to use USAC rules, a seemingly contradiction. Like a 50/50 bar. NRC rules are imposed USAC rules. Non NRC races like Merco this year allowed a bigger field for spring competition, and free up NRC fees like UCI fees to be focused on prize money, instead of increasing the power and control these organizations wield, while leaving riders walking away with five dollars in prize money. So quite a mix, you got UCI and non UCI races, NRC and non NRC races with two sets of overlapping rules, and UCI and non UCI teams riding in these races, at least there was last year, Lipton, and a few others, national teams, composite teams, riders without teams, lone rebels and renegades, Heinz 57, riders in exile on teams foreign to their native countries, and riders switching teams in mid season, not to mention some riders have one blue eye and one brown eye. Also, besides the 21 winners and U-Boat commander Apey stated, this year they had an award for best picks by the press for the winner, which included a podium for the press winner. |

Non NRC
> races like Merco this year allowed a bigger field for spring competition, > and free up NRC fees like UCI fees to be focused on prize money, instead of > increasing the power and control these organizations wield, while leaving > riders walking away with five dollars in prize money. > dumbass, as a schmoebag fan you aren't actually aware how the sport works. if an organizer is sanctioned by the UCI they are committed to paying a guaranteed cash purse. we organized two UCI races last year and the biggest expense associated with the UCI sanctioning was the cash for prizes. the actual fees associated with the sanction and UCI officials was picked up by our governing body - so it's not as if the cash that could've gone towards prizes was diverted to the UCI. having a UCI sanction also meant that more top riders would travel to the event since points and a guaranteed cash purse were up for grabs, and the media - though they may not know a lot about the sport are still savvy enough to figure out that a UCI race is "International" and is a somewhat bigger deal than a local race, so and we had a lot more publicity than we would've gotten without that sanction. for a guy who is a supposed champion for the women's side of the sport you are cluess about how the UCI and the gov. bodies work to develop less popular disciplines. races like the Montreal world cup and the tour of PEI wouldn't if economics was the sole determining factor. |
