Unhappy New to power, had problems

Just started "riding with power" with my new SRM wireless dura ace set up.

I downloaded the crit I did at the Hotter than Hell race friday along with the 100 mile Road race. The RR was ok but the crit files only recorded mostly in 15 to 30 sec intervals. Some were a bit longer some shorter but very random on the length. The speed pickup was not getting a signal all the time. Would this be the cause? Or am I missing something in the set up?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you viewing the file via WKO+ or SRMWin?

I am viewing it on the WKO+. This is what I see in the box that you drag from to your calendar. I didn't really want to drag all 70 files to the calendar. that was from the crit on Friday night. On Saturday morning I did a 100 mile RR and it worked a bit better. I did get one 3 hour file. I was having a bit of trouble with the front wheel pickup. Not sure if that had something to do with it.

Use SRMWin to retrieve you information from the Power Control VI, then drag the file for that day onto your open WKO+ window.

Ok I got that to work. I had seen those directions before but somehow I made them work this time. Thank you.

Now, why can't I download directly into cyclepeaks without the file getting sliced up into 15 to 30 sec separate files?

I'm sure they're working on it.

I think that's been reported before. Look in the WKO+ forum for answers or the Wattage list archives may have it.

From their forum:

We have a new WKO+ build available, b96, which has even a few more mixes and updates in it, including compatibility with the new version of the SRM software, AND direct downloading compatibility with the SRM PCVI!
For SRM PCVI download instructions, please see:
http://wiki.peaksware.com/wiki/index.php/SRM

To get the latest Build, go to:
http://www.cyclingpeakssoftware.com/products/downloadfiles.asp

There, you will be able to download the latest build of Version 2.2 (make sure to select Save, not Run, if you have an option). Make sure that no other software that talks to your downloadable training devices is open, including your current version of WKO+, then install it. No need to uninstall or use the Migration Tool just install it right over top of your existing copy to the same directory and all your data will be safe.

Please note that there is a new feature built in to the Help tab in WKO+ that will let you check for the latest version.

Thanks, I give that a shot. I have been getting pretty good at dumping the info from the SRM program, but this will save a step.

I downloaded my workout tonight straight into WKO+ avg power 242 with alot of short power dropouts.

I looked at the same file using SRMWin and saw no dropouts and my avg power was 202.
