Swedish Fishermans Beef Stew

For 4 servings:

1.5 pound beef (ground meat is okay, but then it's Danish style)
2.5 pound Potatoes 2 big onions 1 bay leaf salt and pepper to taste (takes more than you imagine) 2
cans of beer 2-3 beef-stock cubes butter for frying

Peel potatoes and slice into 1/2 " Peel onion, cut to half and slice 1/10 " If beef meat cut into
slices, many small ones and 1/3 " thick ( or shape ground meat into small burgers 2" diameter *
1/2") Heat a fryingpan with butter and brown the potatoes, add all to a roasting pan, on low heat.
Fry the onion with some butter and also add to the roasting pan. Brown the meat and add it to the
roasting pan. add all other ingredients and let simmer for 30 minutes with lid on, serve.
