I was doing a search for xenon strobes and found this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ADME:B:EOT:US:3
I also found it on the seller’s webpage. I just got it today and it is very bright. Hurts your eyes looking at it. Don’t know if you need three colors but it gives you a choice on where to mount it. It does not have much side view but it lights everything up so that helps. Of course then I found this one http://www.mccormicksnet.com/ do a search for xenon Lightman Xenon Strobe Light I found this at several sites. From reading it seems it has far more side to side visibility. If a driver does not see one of these they are blind and need to be given a guide dog. Even my blind wife can see them (G) I have not gotten the second one yet but I will report on it when I get it. |

How long does one set of batteries last in these lights, and do you use a red rear light too, or a forweard white to illuminate the roadway? |

I jsut got a lightman strobe for the rear (been using a led blinky) and it is even brighter then the first one. the batteries in the sparky are supposed to last up to 22 hours on a slow flash. the lightman goes at most 5 hours. so you need rechargables. right now I have the sparky flashing white and yellow in front and the lightman flashing red with the led blinky on steady. |

I either strap it to my leg or strap it in my seatpost. My batteries last about 18 hours on continous use I used rechargeable ones. I use it as a blinker. I still use a forward light for the road.

I use a headlight too. I like that the sparky lasts longer. but you can't see it much from the side. the lightman you can see it very well from the side. but it has a bigger/brighiter flash so it eats batteries faster. |
