i didnt do it i was 6 miles short after 2 blowouts had to be picked up placed my bike in my friends van sat in the frount seat and thought id died
it went well even after the first blow out at 57 miles felt strong and motivation was good hit the wall at about 63-65 miles had to ease off quite a bit to regain some sort of control over heart rate then pop
i tried and would of done it too
got home had a bath but could not bend legs enough to get back down so i went to bed and slept like a log
73.7 miles in 4hours 15 mins not as good as i wanted but still 17.34 miles per hour average with a max of 38mph
need xmas to come soon for heart rate monitor (plz santa)
got info on diet and carb loading from a friend and

So close, yet so far. At least you survived, from what I've been reading about riding in Britain lately, it can be a danger to your health (terminal in fact).

Let us know when you crack that 80 miler. keep up the good work.
