Default Sponsored Cycling Event

I am seeking information on how to organise a sponsored cycling event. It will take place early 2004 and will be done by members of the New Zealand Police. The event will not be open to the public but will consist of 4 cyclists and 2 safety van drivers. The team will start in Auckland, travelling down the east coast of the North and South Island to Invercargill, then up the west coast of the country right up to Cape Reinga in the North, then back down the east coast, finally ending back in Auckland. Basically all I want to know is who will I need to contact in regards to Safety, cycling routes and any other information I may need.

Thank You
