Default Need to cool Down

I train 3 or 4 times a week after school and I find that with the heat I fatigue to easily. Are there any ways that I can stay cool whilst running without having to ride with a water bottle all the time? *Please help me.

Chester, it is very important that you always stay well hydrated while training or competing, so I wouldn't recommend leaving your water bottle at home. How come you don't want to ride with a water bottle all the time?
I suggest you keep your drink in the fridge, so it's nice and cold while you are on the road.

ride without a water bottle?    are you crazy?

you should be taking in about 24oz of water per hour regardless of whether you want to or not.  don't over do the water though, or you may risk hyponeutromia(sp?)... diluting your electrolytes.  if you are going to be at it for over a couple hours, i would also consider using electrolyte replacements during exercise.  i've had great results during the hottest months of the season supplementing my electrolytes during training and racing.

training 3 or 4 times a week may have a cumulative toll on your body if you don't stay well hydrated.  it is important to drink well after exercise and throughout the day even on your off days.

good luck, and drink up...

...but not like this:

Its not that I don't carry water, of course I do I just find it doesn't stay cool enough even if i freeze it slightly or put ice in it.  Are there any new clothing designs that help with this.

What colour is your waterbottle?  If it's a dark colour get rid of it and get a white one.  Light colours reflect heat, whereas dark colours absorb it (I have past experience on this matter).

All I can think of to keep the drink cool is maybe get a stubbie holder (beer can cooler wetsuit materiel thingy! :-) ) and put your bottle in that before putting it in the holder..??

let me know if that works!!

I may be wrong here, but I believe those things are designed to make already cold drinks easier to physically handle.

Some dudes here in SA has designed a new waterbottle holder that replaces the conventional cage holder. Apparently this design keeps your drink cold for almost 3 hrs. The only problem is that it's a solid design, so it's not very aerodynamic (I'm not sure if the design has been approved since then).
