Question Help me, need a new bike

I have a budget of at very most 1100 euros. I've decided to go racing later in the year, but for now I'm just training. I need a lower end racing bike, and I've seen a couple but what would be a good choice of bike in this price range?

People tell me Trek make good bikes, but they are way overpriced. A Battaglin Verona is about the best I've come across at the moment @ 999 euros

P.S. Being able to order online is a big bonus.
