I am looking into a Kestrel Talon carbon frame bike with Shimano 105 components. I am also considering a Cevelo One and a Cannondale 800 (Al frame).
I'm leaning toward the Kestrel, but would like to get some insight since I'm a newby to the road-bike world. Also, the cost of the Kestel with the 105 components is $1600 for the 2002 model. Good price? Or keep looking? Thanks, John P.S. I'm 6' 0" tall, 190 lbs. I live/ride in Chicago and am looking to train and race trialthons on the bike, at least for the short-term. |

Cannondale frames are great, very responsive, and unlike their older aluminium frames, their newer ones (CAAD4 and up I think have the hourglass seat-stays) are quite comfortable to ride on.
