Hi Guys

I work for SKINS, the compression and recovery sportswear brand. We’re currently working on a cool little project called the Tour De Velo with a 51 year old amateur road cyclist called Quentin Field-Boden, who today sets off on his mission to ride the full length of the Tour De France, 3 days ahead of the professionals.

We thought you guys would be keen to follow his progress and get involved with supporting him. Check out his blog ("Leading The Tour" in 2010) which will be updated daily, along with his twitter - twitter.com/velotraining. Get in touch and show him some support…with 3,600km ahead of him, he’s going to need it!

If you have any questions (or even advice for Quentin), let us know, and if you’re interested then we’ll start updating this thread regularly with notes from the tour.

Hi Guys - an update on Quentins progress for you. Today he is riding stage one of the tour - a gruelling 224km stage making it the second longest on the whole tour.

The whole stage is flat, but there have been forecasts of strong side winds so lets hope he stays on the bike!

Stage details can be found here Tour de France 2010 - Stage by stage
