Yes ...
Also, if you don't need the pads for this weekend and/or you decide that you don't want sintered pads, then here are some aftermarket
holders & pads which are available on eBay:

Those are only two of MANY, many options which are available ... you can, of course, pay more (
!?!) if you want to ...
Of course, you
don't have to buy them via an eBay listing.
FYI. From what I can discern, the "real" Shimano & Campagnolo holders are not any better from a set of
I-forget-the-brand of aftermarket holders-and-pads which I bought a few years ago ... there may be no difference in finish other than the color OR it is always possible that I may not have looked as closely as some others might.
BTW. I think that the type of pad which slides into the holder from the "back" end are marginally better because they are a little more secure in the holder AND the pads can be swapped out more easily ...
I also think that Shimano's pad design is better (as in, easier to remove-and-replace) because the Campagnolo pads are REALLY snug in their holders (they don't use a bolt to secure them) ...
The second set shown are probably listed as 7700 pads (
i.e., a 9-speed brake model), but that description must really description of the cosmetic finish being the same as the 7700 holders because I am pretty sure that all of the 9-speed Shimano calipers were similar to the "red" set in the first picture & that the 8-speed calipers had holders & pads which were like the holders in the second picture.
It has been suggested by others that Shimano's Dura Ace & Ultegra pads are better than others. Obviously, Shimano's "black" pads are designed for plain aluminum braking surfaces AND if you have some special needs, then you can substitute the different compound in the holder.
