The legendary Gunnar Shogren attacking hard on John Fox Road. I actually sprinted to a better finishing position, beating him in a mixed-cat road race...when Gunnar was about 15 years old! /img/vbsmilies/smilies/biggrin.gif Now, I would need a GPS just to track how far ahead of me he was! /img/vbsmilies/smilies/mad.gif Gunnar holds the single-speed course record @ 4 Hrs. 30 Min.

Over 100° F on race day! 76 miles of difficult terrain. Riders that have competed in both events say that the Hilly Billy is more difficult than Battenkill.
