Hello all,
I ran across this tent and ordered it as soon as I saw it. It was love at first site. Its freestanding, stealth camping colors, double walled, and best of all it has a built in enclosed shelter that fits your bike. I used to be up at night a lot worrying about my bike getting stolen, but no more will I be. You can find it at the link below. This is the ‘09 model and it is marked down to $200 from the regular price of $360. It looks like they are running the deal until 3-11-2010.

Thanks and happy camping,

How do you get in and out with the bike parked in front of the door?

I think that was a very nice tent for a bike touring in mountain lover like you. According to what I have read on the internet, it states their that that tent is made with lightweight materials including a coated nylon ripstop canopy and fly. You don't have to worry anymore about the security of your bike.

been having a think about a tent design, and i'm thinking of making my own but using the bike as the support for the tent eliminating the need for poles. is only an idea but may turn into a reality at some stage. the only complication i can see at the moment is getting the bike into the tent to hold up the tent. when it is just loose material. thinking an upside down pocket for the side of the tent that the bike fits into, and the bike is kept upright by pegs and tension on either side of the tent.

so when someone steals your bike you're stuck in a collapsed tent and rolled up like a sausage in your sleeping bag. they stick around laughing while you find your way out and catch them.

It looks like a great idea for someone traveling alone. I'd like to travel with someone and I don't see this as a good solution for what I want to do.
