who ride the Fixed Gear bicycle ?

The gear is solidly attached to the rear hub (threaded onto the hub and locked in place with a threaded lock ring). There is no freewheel or cassette ratchet mechanism. It's a direct-drive power train.

Pedal forwards, the bike travels forward. Pedal backwards, the bike travels backwards.

Most practiced track bike/fixed gear bike riders can balance in place by rocking the bike to the front and back. Actually riding backwards for any distance is beyond my skill level. For a circus rider or trick rider...no problem.
