Hi all,
I'm a new member of the forums, a Brit based in Grenoble in France.

Finally some decent weather yesterday and I tried to cycle up the Col de la Croix de Fer yesterday. I'd heard people talking about how much snow is on the mountains this year, and I made it to about 1,600 metres before I was stopped. Two diggers were shifting snow around and had blocked the road and it was impossible to get past. A workman told me he thought it would be weeks rather than days before the high passes are open.
Cheers, Russell
