Default I need help with my 250ml challange of a life-time!!!

Hi all,

I am new to this service and I need some help with a touring challange I have accepted!!

My bike riding skills has been nothing more than the occasional leisure ride and the occasional commute to work. However I now find myself with a challange of a life-time a 250 mile tour in 5 days from a east coast town and cardiff (UK) during March of next year, and seeking advise on a number of topics to help me succed!!
  • Any advise on training or tips for such a ride?
  • With a budget of £750 max, what would be the best type/make of bike for a tour of this nature?
  • Equipment for camping and food and drinks that can easly be carried on a bike?
  • And many more!!!
So please if you can help me out!!

Thanks
