Hi, as I'm not natively speaking English I apologize for my language skills. I tried to order from Nashbar to Sweden. It was a valid option on their Internet shop site, and I also got an email with an order confirmation that it would ships soon, but after waiting for it a couple of days I got a new email from Bike Nashbar that they didn't ship to Sweden. Quote: "Unfortunately, we do not ship to Sweden. The order has been cancelled and your card hs not been charged. We apologize for any inconvenience." Now I mailed back and asked which countries they actually ships to (as their web site doesn't give any such clues or limitations). I got a reply from customer service that they besides US only ship to Australia, Canada, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom. Quote: "We ship to Australia, Canada, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom and the US. Thank You." Ok, now I tried to arrange for my order to ship to a friend in the UK. I mailed Nashbar the new address, but now I got yet *another* email saying: Quote: "Unfortunately. we do not ship to London. The order has been cancelled and your card has not charged. Thank You." Anyone who has successfully ordered stuff from Bike Nashbar and not had all of these problems? Best regards, martin törnsten |

Providing you give your home address for the billing address and seperate delivery address should be OK. I suspect it may be picking up Sweden from the billing address and binning it as a no-no. Captain's log. On StarDate Thu, 20 May 2004 08:26:18 +0100 received comm from "Tony Raven" <junk@raven-family.com> on channel uk.rec.cycling: : Tumbleweed wrote: : > : > Thats not because you were using a credit card that : > didnt match the delivery address is it? : > : : Wouldn't have thought so. I've ordered and had shipped to : US hotels. Providing you give your home address for the : billing address and seperate delivery address should be : OK. I suspect it may be picking up Sweden from the billing : address and binning it as a no-no. I actually called them today, and they still claim that the problem is that they don't deliver to London at all (which I still find kind of strange limit). Can't : you get what you need somewhere else? Yes, the reason is that they had a very good price on a Polar S720i (but also on a lot of other stuff), and in addition to that also two promotional rebates (the first one was 20% off everything if you bought for more than $50 last week, and the second one a general rebate code who was 10% off the total). The price for the S720i (after all rebates) is $169 (= £91), and as I haven't been able to find such a good deal elsewhere I thought it would be good if they could mange to ship what they have promised (and initially confirmed). But if it's a hopeless task I have eventually to give up in the end (and will probably never more try to order from them again). I also a bit curious to why they 1. list countries as delivery options, which they don't even deliver to and 2. why they ship to UK, but not London specifically (I tried to call them today, but the customer service rep couldn't give me any good explanation for that policy).
