As for the original question - I use bib shorts or longs, with a thermal base beneath in winter, and something on top. They are quite comfortable, and don't suffer "builders' bum" or cold bits in the small of the back. With thinner stuff on top (summer) you can see the lines of the braces through it if looking, but with the fleece in winter the Paving Slab Fairy would not know. Tight fitting trousers are _very_ useful when the weather gets wet, as having loose fitting wet clothing around the legs is a little more unpleasant. Bare legs dry best - but get cold. - Richard -- _/_/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/_/ Richard dot Corfield at ntlworld dot com _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/ _/ _/ Time is a one way street, _/ _/ _/_/ _/_/_/ Except in the Twighlight Zone. |

I'm off to buy a pair of bib-shorts tomorrow. I feel I can do this with relative impunity. I am almost 100% certain that the PSF cannot fling any slabs as far as Australia (I knew there was a reason I emigrated :-) Cheers, Graeme |
