Sure Fred, don't you know that Marblehead wouldn't cheat ?
C'mon, he's such a nice looking lad, he's got a real mom and apple pie wife, and they used to have a luvly fluffy dog called Tugboat too.
He just seemed too nice - to cheat.

When does he have to post the gold medal off to Ekimov ?

That one from PGM has got to be in the top10...Did Tylers dog Tugboat die of Leukaemia? He'll be out there right now doing good deeds for the good citizens of Marblehead. Ohio. One of the best meat processing machinery company's in the world is from Marblehead, and now he's sullied their reputation. I don't how he dare show his medal, let alone keep it. He's effed up Phonak single handedly. He's such a nice youg man you know, he couldn't have done it twice, could he? Anyway I'll bet he's grinding his new choppers into dust. Can't wait for the hearing. He could join David Millar in the sausage roll factory, nice to have a chat with someone of similar stupidity, instead of all those catty women in their hairnets and wellies.

FYI - Marblehead is in Massachusetts, for what it's worth. The longer the TH thing drags on, I am less inclined to think he is innocent. I wouldn't say he singlehandedly f'ed Phonak, but he had a major role in its demise (starting with Camenzind, then TH, then Perez). The Dr has quit now, and I still think it's just the beginning. Quite frankly, I am a little burned out on professional cycling. I have grown weary of all the scandals, and the more I know, the more I see. It seems neverending... so, until the season gets back, I will watch my commercialized American Professional & College sports, where if they are on drugs, it's the norm. Besides, by the time the cycling season picks up again, it will be spring, and I will have a renewed fascination with it, at least until the next scandal comes along.

Must say that I don't bother about who's riding for who next season, I normally wait for the teams to do their presentations. On the other I am interested in the blood loading concept from a technical aspect, as to it's physiological advantages. The other thing that is still up in the air is the ASO/UCI positions. UCI are still posturing their position as a fait accompli, while major tour owners are no doubt having talks of their own. The UCI have no authority in these matters, and the outcome will be interesting. In my opinion the combines are holding all the aces.

Cycling season is all year round (Tour Down Under - Tour of Langkawi).

The Hamilton story doesn't surprise me - nothing shocks me in this sport of ours.
What is annoying is the hypocrisy of the authorities : the UCI know very well that drugs are used in the sport, yet they don't CHOSE to do nothing about it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - life bans for cheats, repayment of all prize money by cheats (on the basis that cheating happened retrospectively) and the teams to be punitively fined if a rider is caught doping.
Simple but efficient methods.
If these sentances were employed - the peleton speed would drop substantially and we wouldn't have to endure books from Lance Armstrong trying to convince us as to how clean he is (not !)

You're right cycling season is neverending - but for us, it gets pretty cold, so the cycling goes in side to hibernate - Right now, it's not too bad - Global Warming, I suspect... the other problem is lack of daylight hours - it's dark by the time I roll out of here @ 5:30-6:00 in the evening.

I am becoming weary of the Lance Armstrong saturation in cycling too. I just saw the Procycling cover (haven't received it yet) with the cover story on "Lance's Chances" for the 2005 Tour or something catchy like that. One, he hasn't decided to ride it yet, and two, it's freakin November!! I would like to get into the excitement of the Spring Classics before we get overexposed to the Tour again.

As for cheats, they should be banned and relegated to the Saturday morning club rides for their racing excitement. Again, I am tired of the rhetoric, on both sides, about "he did this," " no I didn't" "I'm innocent," Blah, blah, blah... What a load of crap. The latest is the http://www.believetyler.org/ website that's up. I think it's for donations to TH's legal defense. Now, without the positive of Perez, I would give a little leeway on the "freak occurance" but this guy is his teammate and had the EXACT SAME TEST! Coincidence? Not to point fingers, but I often wonder (hmmmmm) why is it that suddenly L.A. decided to "scale back" operations with a test like this on the horizon. I am NOT accusing, just wondering aloud - I can do that among my friends...

I don't know, maybe I am just feeling a little cynical today. I need some caffeine to pep me up. Off to the Coffee machine.

It's a thread setup for all those people who used to contribute elsewhere from Europe, but now that their own forum has been closed down - myself and Fred C are sheparding them to this thread.
(long story).

Lots of interesting views - Fixit.
If they migrate - they'll counter balance the transatlantic aspect of this entire forum.
It will lead to an improvement - believe me.

Well, as you probably have seen that we were all Eurosport posters on their site, and we just used ES in our posts to shorten the typing bit. Then ES closed the site down to revamp it, so they say. We've been at them for ages to use a login system and they didn't take any notice. So I asked Lim to set up one for us called XES, which basically means Ex EuroSport, he says Exiles, so what no difference there. Hemplands knows a lot of the e- addresses, and we know each others proper e's. That's how we got it started again, And I might add, without the anon. trouble causing posters.
A point that I thought about is what tooth rings do you have on the front, and what block range are you using on the rear wheel?
