    Modernize and upgrade required.

    We don't usually use bikes with 27 inch rims but you can if you want, I reccomend using use 700x23c wheels

    Do cables stretch and/or housings compress?

    Cables do stretch. And if you replace cables be sure to lube the cable and the housing.
