To be honest it's good to know a custom wheel builder nearby to repair the factory-built wheels, which often arrive with twisted spokes and/or a not-so-true alignment. If some novice does the adjustments, it can make it worse.

Anyone in the SF Bay ARea should give Tahn Rehmer a call at WIllow Glen Bikes. He's an expert in all types of high-end wheels. I have had 2 sets built so far, 1 lightweight road, 1 heavy duty touring. Beautiful work and components that I didn't know exist until I met him. No hard sale either...

I have a dumb question... My adventurous life has caused me to break my nose more than once, resulting in a bit of deviation. And because of it, speeds above 30mph cause air to leak through the glasses' nosepiece and cause one eye to water up...not good. Just wondering if anyone else whos...

Thank you for your replies. On weekends I ride hill and mountain roads that are in 'rustic' condition, so I use a fairly wide tire. Are Campagnolo brakes released in a different way? I ride bike paths and expressway for my commute, so that bike has a thinner tire.
