with 2 grand u should be able to get a real decent bike,helmet,some shoes,clipless pedals and a decent short and jersey to get u started

i know alot of us on here have a good amount of nutrition supplies on our shelves for future rides. just wondering what everyone uses and why? befor rides i take access gel or the gu gels,when riding i like power bars,smoothie bars,harvest energy peanut butter chocolate chip,,triple treat...

thats the same way i feel,i would rather save up some dough and by something thats better quality and name brand.

if u dont have clipless shoesand pedals i would look into em before anything else, not less your uncomfortable with some thing then look into that. some shops have specials were u can buy the shoes and pedals as a package and save a few dollars. keep us posted and good luck on your ride.

well my other hobbies besides cycling are kustom painting,airbrushing,pinstriping and spraying kandies,pearls flakes,and other types of kustom automotive painting.

i myself think that you have to ask your self are u gonna be in it to win it,or just mess around and ride to work. if u plan on riding for a long period of time and are 100% serious and dedicated i would save up a lil more money and get something a lil better, i seen some really nice road bikes...

i picked up a pump simular to this one at a local bike shop it works great for presta valves,i use it at home before i go ride and i carry co2 in my sadle bag incase of a blow out. this pump is the best investment i made.

i wear a helmet every time i ride along with a pair of gloves,the way people drive now days texting or in a rush,i feel alot safer with a helmet on.
