    Shimano Octalink BB problem.

Yes I did mean that they should not be mixed, by saying that it would have play in the crank to bottom bracket interface. It was done to me by a not so LBS I bought the bike from, for a warranty replacement of the specialised brand crank when the arm to crank webbing cracked. They fitted a V2...

    Shimano Octalink BB problem.

Make sure you are not mixing Octalink V1 & V2 versions. See http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_n-o.html#octalink and http://www.sheldonbrown.com/bbsize.html#shimano A V2 crankset (eg. Tiagra octalink) will fit on a V1 Bottom Bracket (eg. 105 or Ultegra) but will have play in it. Mike

    M7 Cycleway access

You could use either the Homemaker parking area at Celebration Drive or the commuter parking area at Burns T-Way Bus station. Then head south along the T-Way Shared Path to Norwest Bvde or to the start of the M7 cycleway after the over bridge crossing Old Windsor Rd.

    Lower Prospect Canal Cycleway Closed

Nice photos of the aqueduct. The closure of the cycleway is 2km west of the aqueduct and the construction works are another 500-600m west of the closure. The gate is at the path turnoff to Hylands Rd which goes down to the T-Way crossing.

    Lower Prospect Canal Cycleway Closed

The cycleway along the Lower Prospect Canal is closed between Prospect Reservoir and Hylands Rd. This closure is in effect until 17th October (if we are lucky). There is supposed to be a signposted detour route along Greystanes Rd and through the Nelson Ridge residential area. There appear to...

"Temporary" Halt to Cycling on Brisbane Airport

Yes, high parking charges is a big money earner for Sydney Airport, Domestic and International. And cyclists are also part of the legitimate traffic too! So those that are affected and Bicycle Queensland should be requesting consideration to providing an alternative route, before closing the...

"Temporary" Halt to Cycling on Brisbane Airport

Isn't it incredible that someone removes transport provisions before providing a satisfactory alternative solution. A similar occurence happened for removing access for cyclists to the westbound shoulder of the M2 in Sydney. They wouldn't close the airport access to motorised traffic for a year...

PeterSig - re: Generator lights -- Thank you!!

I would say build a wheel with new rim and spokes to the hub, and then you have your current wheel as a backup, even though without dynohub for use in emergency or for when you don't need the dyno, or you can sell off, eg on ebay etc., as a complete wheel. Mike
