My entry level Cannondale - I've changed the pedals and gone clipless.

I'm also new to road cycling and I'm also at the entry level pricing. After weeks of research (which drives you crazy) I opted for a Cannondale Caad8 Sora. Bought for 799 euro. I've had it just over a week and covered over 100 miles and I'm really happy with it. Good luck with your search!

I don't know whether this is the right thing to do but I go out without having breakfast. I take a banana and eat that about 1.5hrs into the ride. I do drink a lot and I have an isotonic drink when I get back. Seems to work for me.

Hi Shamus, In my opinion the distance per day is easy, just make sure you have a comfortable saddle. I'd try and get a tourer bike with gears. Also, having a backpack isn't so nice, I'd carry items in panniers on the bike, I think it's better to let the bike do the work. Cycling in the...
