    Rear disc wheel

Yeah, I’ve been working in my climbing, but just trying to get any advantage to do better.

    Rear disc wheel

I’m about to do a 12-mile TT with 500 feet of climbing. I have a Zipp 808 rear wheel and a disc wheel. Opinions on what will be faster? Also, if there’s wind, am i better off without the disc?

    Tire pressure

I know there are a lot of opinions on tire pressure, but I’d like to get some thoughts. I want to be as fast as possible on my road bike (conti tubeless) and my TT bike (conti clincher). I’ve looked at the silica chart and out send to be pretty accurate? thoughts?

    Best insulated water bottle

I agree; the only negative is the mold buildup in the spout.

    Best insulated water bottle

I’m having a hard time finding an insulated water bottle that doesn’t leak. After a ride, the contents drops down, even around the bottom bracket. Suggestions?

    Going tubeless?

Great advice. Thanks. With my clinchers, i carry a park tool boot that can probably fix most tears.

    Going tubeless?

i really like how stable it feels, especially cornering. And, I’m thinking it’ll take care of almost any puncture, unless it’s so bad, the tire is ruined, if that happens, I’m in trouble either way. Since posting, i saw an item in bicycling magazine (Stan’s DART) that can be inserted in the...

    Going tubeless?

Thanks, i guess. I don’t have any disabilities, and I’ve certainly fixed my share of flats, but never on a tubeless tire. Installing these tires was rough and took lots of time. Might be a little easier taking them off, but not sure.

    Going tubeless?

I’ve recently gone tubeless on the bike I ride on local flat roads because, if I’m stranded, i have cell service to be rescued just in case the tubeless tire goes flat. I’d like to also go tubeless on my climbing bike, but am concerned about having a flat in the middle of nowhere without cell...

    Bontrager *** carbon saddle

I’m building climbing bike (Emonda SLR). And I’d like to get a bontrager *** carbon saddle. I’ve found a good deal on eBay, but need to know, ASAP, if i must buy clamps, separately to make it work. Anyone?

    Continental 5000 tires

I’ve bought conti 5000 tires for all of my road bikes and like them. Today, while descending, i had a sidewall blowout! I was lucky i didn’t go down. I didn’t see any reason for it (May have run over something, but didn’t see it). Also, my son-in-law has the same issue. Anyone else have...

    Reasonable, quality bibs

Thanks for the feedback. They look pretty good. I go on long rides and I’m unsure about comfort. Also, i like them pretty long.

    Reasonable, quality bibs

I'm in need of some quality bibs, but don’t want to spend a fortune. Any recommendations on quality ones for a relatively reasonable price (maybe under $100), or is this too much to ask?

    Di2 cost

I have a trek madone that has mechanical shifting (Ultegra set up). Thinking about converting to di2, but wondering about the cost. In general, what am i looking at, not including installation costs, and, any links for the best deal? thanks, Rick

    Oval crankset

Is it worth it? Does it increase speed, climbing, etc., or is it a waste of money?

Which road bike should i buy?

Depends on what type of rides you plan on doing. The diverge is a great gravel bike. The domane is more of a pure road bike and is built for comfort (good for long rides). If you want to ride hills, the trek Emonda would be a good choice. If you want to go fast, the trek madone or specialized...
