    Lymphoma recovery regieme

BerryMoss, thanks for the reply. I sounds as if your body reacted to the cancer/chemo the same way as mine has. I'm six months out of chemo and clear of the lymphoma, what a difference a year makes. The fatigue is what no-one tells you about, I just starting to string active days together as...

    Winter Training

I live in the middle of no-where and hence do not have access to a local gym. Can anyone recommend a "Training Bible" Prep/base exercise routine that does not require weights?!? I have been looking into bands and swiss balls, does anyone have any experience with this?

Polar Power - No Speed data recording

actually, I ordered it online and saved the receipt in my 'training' folder Before I sent mine in, I tried 3 separate magnets and changed the handlebar unit battery....if you are seeing yellow and green lights but not red, if the magnet and cable are fine, the problem HAS to be in the...

Powertap, cycling peaks and polar 720

Yes, give it a try, you can log whatever sport you like as you can set up custom sports. I've gone as far as to set up a catagory for Equine Dressage and show jumping that I do in the winter!! You can also log data from routes save from GPS! It will give you Seperate Bike Run and Swim HR zones...

Polar power - Hills and flat

I have the opposite problem; I can TT for 30 min at 350, and over 400W for 10 minutes. I also climb with the best of my peers, but I struggle to sustain 350W when climbing. Have there been any studies on the Polar on differing gradients vs a PowerTap or SRM??

    polar power unit installation

I have no issues with the power pickup, I have real issues with the handlebar unit plug & socket. Evey ride I end up with data drop out, this is cured by unplugging & re-connecting. There has to be a better way! Has anyone tried hard-wireing?

    Squeaking Dura Ace bottom Bracket!

I fitted a Dura Ace 10 speed chainset (FC7800) on my TCR Giant about a month (900km) ago. The chain and bike are cleaned after most rides, though being careful not to get degreases in any of the bearings. Last weekend, during a particularly muddy on-road ride, the bottom bracket developed a...

What is the weirdest item you ever seen attached on a bike frame?

An AK47! Recently traveling in Sra Lanka when along comes the local poiceman on a 1950's bike, black and chrome with lever brakes. Strapped to the top tube was a very smart looking AK47 machine gun. Apart from that a very standard sit up and beg bike as left behind by the british.
