    Another Sort Of Professional Cycling

When we think about professional cycling we do think about the sport, but there are many people who use their bike as a profession. It can work...

    Being Healthy Is A Lifestyle

And our Terminator knows that. I wish more and more people used the bike like him and like we do, our body and mind thank us for that. :)

    Supports For The Car

I am considering buying supports for my car to carry the bikes (4 total), but I've heard that this changes the consumption of the car a lot even when the bikes are not there?! Anyone with experience on this? Also, are the roof supports better or the ones behind the car?

    Helmet: Yes Or No?

20-30 years ago no one used an helmet, but now everyone seems to use it. My kids use it of course, mainly because of their mother, but I still ride without one. What's your say?

    Bike Lanes

In my country (Portugal) a huge investment has been made in bike lanes and now that my kids are using them a lot, I do feel happy for it because we can get virtually everywhere in them. For me it's not that important because I use the road, but for a beginner I think it makes a big difference...

    How Often Do You Commute?

When I was a student I commuted every single day, sometimes 4 times per day, as I had lunch at home. :) These days is not that often because I walk to work, but when I need to go someplace alone I do grab my bike instead of the car. :) What about you?

    Parking When Commuting

One issue we all have when commuting with our bikes concerns safety. I've got to my bike once at the end of the day and I had no seat for example... From that day on all the parts of my bike are secure when I leave it on the streets. How is it where you live, is it safe to leave the bike on the...

    Bike Touring

I think that bike touring events are the best ones. I've joined a few with my older kid and wife, along with friends and relatives and it's great, it's a possibility to explore a new region, to do an healthy activity and simply hang out with those we love. Have you been bike touring? How often...

    No Fear

One thing I notice with a lot of people I know that want to use the bike to commute is that they are afraid of the traffic, like my wife for example. :) I think this is pretty irrational, I mean, sure, we need to be careful, but it's perfectly safe to use the roads along with the cars, I've done...

Buy The Bike In A Specialized Store!

I bought a new bike this summer and I made the mistake of buying it in the supermarket (a huge promotion convinced me), lol right. Well, the bike looked good, most components were Shimano, so that was a warranty, but I regret it a lot because when I need support I don't have no one to give it...

    Post Your Trips Here

I still recall my first long trip as if it was today, it was between Lisboa and Peniche, nearly 100km (60 something miles) and I loved it. Nothing like seeing the nature and being on our own. I camped there for a couple of days and explored the region. What trips have you made?

    Training My Kids

This summer I started to ride my bike again regularly, due to my kids. My almost 8 year old can already accompany me in long rides, but the smaller one is just 5, so he's still adapting to the lack of training wheels. I really want them to use their bikes as I think it's a great way to be...
