New Shimano Road Wheelsets ... any opinions?

I'm pleased with these wheels (wh r550), as they are notably faster than 'normal' wheels at higher speeds (35km/h and up), side winds are not a problem (rather the contrary) and they accelerate rather well. However, the (sub 800 grams) frontwheel is notably less stable than a wheel with 32/36...

Questions we don't want to answer again

I am serious. The "feel" of a hybrid will never be like a unit between you and the bike. With a good roadbike you can achieve that. Most hybrids are way too heavy and come with cheap frontshocks. And then, comfort is an infinite concept. If one just wants to eliminate all shocks, then get a...

Questions we don't want to answer again

I don't agree. A road bike can be very confortable. Ingredients: a good steel frame instead of alu, high quality tires with skinny sidewalls 23 mm or more.(rims are not very important for comfort compared to tires). Use a thick saddle like Rolls. Some handlebars give up to 2 cm flex on the ends...

Old campa spindle - new cranks?

Thanks for the answers. So I tried to mount new Centaur cranks on the old BB. However, the Q-factor rose by almost 10 mm. Too much, so I unmounted the cranks and the BB, and measured the old spindle. It turned out to be 114,5mm instead of 111. But the Q-factor difference was much more than 3mm...

Old campa spindle - new cranks?

Is it possible to mount newer campagnolo cranks on a old style (cones/balls) bottom bracket? My bike has a record (68 - ss - 120 +1 +1.5) spindle, which is somewhere around 111 mm wide. It is in very good condition. Can I mount a newer campagnolo crankset on it, e.g. centaur, veloce or racing...
