    Tire Pressure, How much??

All right, I have determined my weight front and rear. I have 92lbs (41.73kg) in the front and 129lbs (58.51kg) in the rear. So interpolating from Sheldon Browns Chart using a 23mm tire, I should have 110.4psi in the front and 154 in the back....... That sounds wrong.... What is wrong with...

    Tire Pressure, How much??

I rode about 15 minutes before a rain storm came but got a feel for what I did with the pressures. I tried to run 120 in the front and 130 in the rear. That may be too high but I am not sure as I have not figured out what load I have on each wheel. I am planning to try the bathroom scale idea...

    Tire Pressure, How much??

I got a set of Panaracer Stradius Pro 700x23c Min pressure 100psi max pressure 150psi 127TPI 210 grams each. I've been thinking that I may run 115psi in the front and 125psi in the rear. Just for a start, maybe 130psi in the rear....

    Tire Pressure, How much??

mikesbytes, I just read that Sheldon Brown article and from what he is saying, the weight on the tire also determines the pressure that should be in it. Do you or anyone else have a good idea as to what percentage of weight the front and rear get? If I am 200lbs (sorry about the non-metric)...

    Tire Pressure, How much??

Don't get me going on this friend. I LOVE the metric system and cannot understand WHY we haven't converted yet. I am simply baffled on this. I went to Canada where they are metric and LOVED it. Metric is cool!

My brand new frame is broken. Can this be repaired?

Even though you got it off clearance, wont the manufacturer still warranty the frame? I would expect the frame to have some sort of warranty on it.

    Tire Pressure, How much??

Hey, you callin' me fat? ;) I'm sure I've got a few to lose, but at 6'-3" I'm pretty sure most of it is from the height. Thanks for the response John. I'm cust curious as I have never had a tire that had such a high pressure rating on it. I think I might try 130psi just to see what it feels...

    Do you bother repairing flats?

You know I was just wondering this myself. I had a flat with a very tiny hole and I said, what the heck. The tube is $5 and the patch kit is 99 cents, so I patched it. It is holding up fine so I can patch five more holes with the same kit. I will see how long this lasts. From my experience...

    Tire Pressure, How much??

So with a tire maximum of 150psi, then it kind of gives me more range to experiment with different pressures and how I like the ride, correct? I guess also higher pressures make for lower rolling resistances?

    Tire Pressure, How much??

My old tires had a max pressure (witten on the sidewall of 110psi. The new tires I just got have a pressure written on the sidewall of 150psi. I know the tires go up in pressure with the heat of the day so I know to back off a little from the max. Am I safe using say 130psi? I am just not...

How do you remove a neck/stem??

I have a 2006 Trek 2100 and I noticed that the neck can be flipped over to get a lower position. I want to try that but I am not sure how to remove the neck. It has one center bolt going down the middle into the fork and two little bolts on the back of the neck (plus the ones holding the...

Most probably another one of my mistakes. That day I decided at the last minute to go and ride, so I wasn't drinking the whole day.

How many day do you train?

I bet it does. The kids that ride my Saturday ride can blow most all of our doors off. BTW, I saw them riding their bikes as I was driving home from work.

    Hot Weather Training Help!

dhk2, I am going to ride my bike on the trainer outside in the shade as it is 91 degrees right now. I think this will help begin my hot weather conditioning. I'll be in the shade, but no breeze. It's atleast a start.:) I figure I will go out on the road when it drops to 85. I am thinking...

How many day do you train?

I wish I had more time but all I can do is maybe 2 days per week. Any more and the kids and Momma don't like it. I can't blame them as I miss them also. When I come home at night and then go ride for an hour and a half it eats up a lot of the time I have to see them. If I were a teenager...
