imho - the "fat burning zone" can be useful, but obviously, you aren't staying there all the time. Basically, you need oxygen to burn fat, so if you can carry on a conversation, you're right on. If you're huffing and puffing, you're too far. So try it out on a treadmill or something. Get up...
