I am looking for a sturdy commuter bike to go from my home in Northern VA into Washington DC. Does anyone have any experience with either of these two bikes?
I was leaning towards the Utopia, but the new 04 Giant's have Shimano 105 road components and seem like a better value. As a roadie (Trek Y-Foil 77) I am biased towards road components. But the Fisher has a front shock, which I am not sure I need, but the LBS suggested would be helpful on those bad DC roads.
