With the TT up the Alpe d'huez this year, what kind of modifications to the bikes will be done?

Will (can?) they remove the rear brakes? ...go to a single chainring? ...go to downtube shifters? ...remove some cogs?

Are there special superlight frames made just for climbing/no descending? superlight wheels?

Do the UCI minimum weight rules (15.x lbs) apply to the TT as well as the rest of the race?

Looking at photos from last year's Vuelta uphill TT stage, it looks like most of the riders (including Heras) were on standard road bikes with STI or Ergo. A few of them may have had single chainrings or downtube shifters for the front derailleur but I didn't see any bikes or wheels that varied much from regular mountain stages.

The 7kg rule applies to everything.
